Abstract :
Previously published analysis of the perturbations of network functions resulting from finite changes in network components is reformulated to allow the inclusion of active elements. It is then found that classical stability analysis can be simply reformulated in terms of this perturbation analysis. This leads to greatly simplified procedures for computing not only the return differences required in a basic stability, but also the perturbation of these return differences as the circuit elements vary within their tolerance limits.
