Abstract
Two university campuses have been linked together by an optical fiber cable so that a lecture delivered on one campus can be simultaneously transmitted to the second using four TV channels, thereby making two separated classrooms the equivalent of one. The system is explained and the results of student evaluations are shown. The quality of the image evaluations by students initially experiencing this method has been shown to be higher than evaluations of the students who have used it for six months. Evaluations of the lectures, however, were almost the same. This TV lecture system, therefore, has been found to be quite satisfactory as a long-distance education tool
