Abstract :
The quantisation of a two-carrier-level single-channel-per-carrier (SCPC) system is analysed using a simple, general approach. The quantisation staircase is represented by the sum of the input plus a sawtooth. Using an infinite Fourier series for expanding this sawtooth, closed-form expressions, in terms of the Zeta function, are obtained for the output quantised carrier and the resulting intermodulation products of any order.
