Abstract
An undergraduate course is described where, through a number of innovative ideas, a wide selection of microelectronic technologies is taught with hands-on training at a relatively low cost. Examples include leaded- and surface-mount printed circuit board, thick-film hybrid, gate array, full custom VLSI (analog and digital) and integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing
