Abstract :
The introduction of intelligent network (IN) services into the existing telecommunications network in Germany is discussed. The configuration of the services offered in the IN, the parameters for the call routing programs available during the operational trial, and call charging models are described. It is shown that the major aspects of the evolution of IN are economic concerns and international standards.<>
