  • Abstract
    In an effort to enhance the practical applicability of information theory, to image processing, various findings regarding the entropy rate of two-dimensional random fields are presented. In particular, equivalent representations of the entropy rate of a random field are given, and the entropy rates of various random fields including the Ising model are mentioned.
