Abstract :
The discrete impulse response method has been applied for modelling and analysis of elementary switching DC-to-DC convertors operating in both continuous and discontinuous conduction mode. The model derived from this approach is exact up to one-half of the switching frequency. This technique can also be applied for modelling and analysis of a complex power stage such as the ¿uk convertor. In the continuous conduction mode, a small signal model of the ¿uk convertor is obtained in the form of control to output transfer function. Under certain restrictions, this model is shown to be equal to the state average model. In addition, analysis of the feedback loop provides a closed-loop state transition matrix and regulator output impedance.
