Abstract
The authors attempt to answer the question of whether the use load cells or dancer roll regulation systems in modern-day paper machinery. A computer model based on an existing off-machine coater that has both systems integrated is used as the basis for this research. The two systems are analyzed, considering the stability of the system and its dynamic response. Practical results based on measurements made on site are included
