Abstract :
The report updates a 1983 report on supercomputer hardware. The subcommittees recommendations are that federal government is committed to maintaining leadership in scientific computer development, encourages and funds research, supports all the enabling technologies, designates a lead organisation, and establishes performance goals.<>
