  • Abstract
    The power from two closely matched trapatt amplifiers was combined by means of two 3dB interdigitated hybrid couplers. An output power of 115 W with 350 MHz bandwidth was obtained from the combined circuit. This combination technique, the effectiveness of which was thought to be questionable for trapatt amplifiers, doubles their output power without causing loss of bandwidth.
