Abstract
A simple modification to the structure of three-phase delta modulators is proposed that stabilizes and reduces the switching frequency, particularly at low modulation indexes, and increases the voltage gain to the level of optimized techniques. The proposed delta modulator is described and analyzed, and design equations are derived. The modulator is implemented and the theoretical results are verified experimentally
