  • Abstract
    Using the electromagnetic perturbation theory, it is shown that the linearly polarized TEMpl modes (1>0) predicted by conventional methods are not the resonant modes in an open resonator. Instead, two other series of high-order modes are proposed with improved accuracy in resonant frequencies.
