Abstract :
The paper describes a two-dipole applicator that is capable of providing in-depth and relatively uniform rates of heating (SAR´s) over the volume of the torso and greatly reduced SAR´s for the rest of the body. Power coupling efficiencies in excess of 60 percent and fairly low leakage power densities have been measured for the applicator.
