Abstract
The solutions of electromagnetic field equations of the broad-side-coupled dielectric image guide are derived using the mode-matching technique. The even- and odd-mode dispersion characteristics are presented as a function of the dimensional parameters of the guide for the low-loss mode for which the principal electric field is parallel to the metal image planes.
