Abstract :
The letter details results obtained from an experimental hybrid parametric amplifier at 30 MHz pumped at 800 MHz. Gain of up to 5.5 dB was observed and this varied with signal circuit inductance in accordance with theory. This type of negative resistance parametric amplifier does not exhibit oscillation with increase in pump power and may therefore have considerable application.
