Feedback polynomial of a majority logic decoder

In the letter, a derivation of the feedback polynomial of a majority-logic decoder is presented. The feedback polynomial is shown to be related in a simple fashion to the generator polynomial of the code being used. Based on this result, the tedium associated with the conventional approach to obtain the feedback polynomial, such as the long-division routine, can be eliminated.
