Abstract :
A description and assessment are given of a novel technique for multiplexing cholesteric/nematic-phase-change liquid-crystal displays of high complexity (>30 rows of elements). The scheme offers some relaxation of the previously precise tolerances required to multiplex these displays at a low duty cycle.
