Abstract :
Optical fibres have been made by the vapour deposition of P2O5-GeO2-SiO2 glass onto the inside surface of Corning Code 7913 glass tubes. These graded-index core waveguides exhibit low attenuations, i.e. 4.0 dB/km at 0.82¿m.
