Abstract :
Voice and data transmission on a common link is modelled as a Markov renewal process. The performance of an integrated voice/data multiplexer with arbitrary message length distribution and nongated service discipline, particularly mean data message delay, is analyzed using the model. Numerical results are presented.<>
