Abstract :
A three-dimensional high-order finite-element scheme is proposed for finding the modes of dielectric-loaded cavities of arbitrary shape. New light is shed on the presence of spurious solutions. Results for an empty rectangular box are compared with exact solutions, A loaded rectangular box is also analyzed.
