Abstract
A processing-dependent criterion for the optimum silver content in Ag/HTS (high-temperature superconductor) composites is proposed. It is based on competition between tunneling and proximity characteristics of the initial (undoped) ceramics. Silver-induced stabilization of the critical current density in an external magnetic field is briefly discussed as well.<>
