Abstract :
We propose a novel structure for a group-cross symmetrical spiral inductor (GCSI). The inductor has higher self-resonance frequency and quality factor, but the same dc inductance and layout area as a conventional symmetrical inductor. We compare measured data of the GCSI and conventional inductors to show the advantages of the new inductor structure
