Abstract :
A calibration technique is described that uses a rotating corner reflector of known echoing area as a secondary calibration standard. Audio-frequency Doppler signals from the radar are recorded on a low-bandwidth magnetic-tape recorder. Offline frequency-domain analysis is then used to calibrate the radar in terms of absolute echoing area.
