Abstract :
Parameters are calculated that describe the subjective effect of noise on colour-television pictures in terms of the noise level as measured through the new CMTT unified weighting network. For the `average¿ spectral shape likely to occur in practice, signal/noise ratios are given at a number of mark points expressed in terms of summable subjective impairment (imp) units.
