Abstract :
This article looks at the operation of an electricity system with wind energy generation, and the misconceptions surrounding the use of this and other intermittent renewable energy sources. An overview of wind generation and its economics related to the electricity supply industry as a whole finds that far from being a liability, wind could be an asset.
