Abstract :
A simple approach for the analysis of linear systems containing periodically operated switches is described. It is based on computing the system´s impulse response. This impulse response series is then reduced into a rational function form that makes the evaluation of its frequency spectrum quite easy. Illustrative examples are given to show that, as long as the incoming bandwidth is less than fs /2 (where fs=1/T, T is the period of the periodically switched network), then the impulse response approach yields the system´s frequency response
