Abstract :
The problem of parametric identification is addressed using a cost function that weights the difference between the Bode diagrams of a model and its data. This article presents a MATLAB program for parametric estimation (AFT=Ajustamiento de Funcions de Transferencia) that includes single rules for the estimation of parameters from low- and high-frequency response data. The rest of the parameters are computed using an adequate optimisation technique for the problem. In addition, the article develops a heuristic identification method based on the experience in using AFT. Finally, a practical example is given.<>
