  • Abstract
    By representing an edge in a picture by a sequence of polar vectors, we obtain a compact and versatile description that readily lends itself to a variety of picture processing operations, including edge smoothing, finding the convex hull, measuring area and perimeter and skeletonising/grassfire algorithms.
