Abstract
The purpose of this survey is to provide a general idea on present research activities in microstrip in Europe, emphasizing computer-aided design. Attention is drawn to the particularities of microstrip, which make its design particularly difficult. The survey covers the description of microstrip lines, discontinuities, patch antennas, and computer programs for circuit analysis, synthesis, and layout, followed by a brief description of relevant areas in MMIC and nonlinear CAD.
