Abstract :
A model that predicts coupling between two or more jacketed braided coaxial cables in nonflat pack configurations in free space is presented. The model will also predict the coupling between jacketed cables over a ground plane. The method of moments technique is used to determine the external line parameters between the cables, and an eigenvalue method is employed to find the coupling between the cables. The theoretical predictions are compared with experimental results in the frequency range 1 MHz to 1 GHz.
