  • Abstract
    A dual-window spectral analysis polarization-mode dispersion (PMD) penalty monitor of novel design for 40-Gb/s return-to-zero signals is presented. Its good performance was verified in a PMD compensation experiment using an electrooptical Ti : LiNbO3 distributed compensator.
