  • Abstract
    Hydraulic pressure dependence of fibre loss is examined for several jacket structures. It is found that a liquid-filled pipe structure exhibits small loss increase, 0.9 dB/km at a pressure of 500 kg/cm2, and is promising for use in a submarine optical cable
