Abstract :
The survey questioned a group of users about their experiences and the direction they feel CAD/CAM systems will take in the future. A sample of the survey questionnaire is given. In addition to questions about configurations, software, terminals, and output devices, two sets of subjective questions were asked. One dealt with user realization of expectations for their systems, and the other dealt with trends in CAD/CAM. With the responses obtained from 33 current users of CAD/CAM systems, the value of implementing CAD/CAM systems is evaluated.
