  • Abstract
Laser stereometry is the direct photography of unencoded three-dimensional object information using a laser. The particular laser stereometer described here employs range-dependent time delays in the return of light incident on the object from a mode-locked laser pulse. Submillimeter depth resolution over objects meters deep is achievable.
