Abstract :
Interactive manipulation techniques can be used to analyze anatomic structural deformities and to simulate complex corrective surgical procedures, so that a surgeon can better anticipate intraoperative problems and determine intraoperative requirements. This paper describes the initial phase of the development of such an interactive surgical planning package. The scheme is currently being implemented in Fortran on a 32K-word Data General Eclipse S200 machine.
