Abstract :
In [1], Couranz and Wann studied the behavior of synchronizers operating in the metastable region; their analysis of the circuit was based on a probabilistic description using random noise as the driving force. We present an alternate and much simpler deterministic description of the circuit behavior based on a study of the circuit differential equation.
