Abstract
The difficult problem of evaluating motionally induced currents is solved for a small sphere moving in the field of a magnetic dipole. Numerical results are given for the induced currents, the induced magnetic dipole and the magnetic force. The results obtained for this canonical case are valuable for a better understanding of the physical phenomena involved.
