Corrections to “Generalization of the Ludwig-3 Definition for Linear Copolarization and Cross Polarization”

This paper presents two corrections to an earlier paper by Roy and Shafai. The first correction is typographical. The second correction results from a sign error in the mathematical development of (14). The corrected equation and the corresponding results are presented here. It turns out that the corrected results for the generalized definition of linear polarization show an even smaller error than that reported in the original paper, with the H-field aperture model. In fact, the error for the generalized definition is smaller than that for the Ludwig-3 definition over most of the observation sphere.
