Abstract :
The danger of using dark currents in a calculation of the Schottky-barrier solar cell characteristics is demonstrated experimentally. Recombination in the depletion region provides an illumination-dependent contribution which detracts from the collected minority carrier current in Au-n Si (single crystal) cells.
