Low-to-high voltage-level shifter and waveform synthesiser

This letter describes a method of voltage-level shifting and waveform synthesising achieved by a relatively simple, but novel, circuit and a single 5 V power supply. Such a circuit is useful in providing sustaining voltage for a plasma display panel, monitoring voltage levels for a digital t.v. display, successive triggering of threshold devices and for other applications.
