Abstract :
Feedforward amplifiers have found wide application in satellite and, more recently, mobile radiocommunications. In both of these fields it is important to be able to optimise the efficiency of the overall amplifier system and, in particular, select the optimum coupling factor for the output coupler in order to achieve this. The coupling-factor problem is examined mathematically and some results are presented demonstrating the efficiencies which can be achieved for various system configurations
