  • Abstract
    The use of a Stored Program Electronic Switching System (SPESS) in a university program of instruction and research is described. University involvement with telephony in general and telecommunications switching in particular is discussed, the SPESS facility is described, and Rensselaer´s program of instruction and research is outlined.
