Abstract :
A general method for calculating the effect of feedback delay on second-order tracking-loop frequency-acquisition capability is presented. The method uses a power-series expansion of the delay differential equation and is extendable to discontinuous systems whenever a Fourier-series approximation discontinuity can be made.
