Abstract :
The advent of microprocessors, the acceptance of a standardized interface system, and recent advances in computer and instrumentation technology have greatly reduced the cost and complexity of small automated-test systems. The principal interest in this paper is the type of system which incorporates a desktop computer as the controller interfaced with peripherals and equipment on a standard bus. Included examples demonstrate versatility, protability, high accuracy and precision, feasibility in assembly, and cost effectiveness.
