Abstract :
A charge-coupled-device adaptive transversal filter is described which incorporates parallel tap-weight coefficient updating. The prototype filter was based on a clipped least-mean-squares algorithm with digital tap-weight storage. The design of an 8-tap prototype filter capable of being clocked between 1 and 100 kHz is reported and its performance assessed by testing its ability to separate two sinusoidal waveforms.
