Abstract
The actual and potential role of EE history in the education of the undergraduate EE and in the continuing education of the professional EE is examined. Available written and audiovisual materials for use in courses are listed and some options for a self-study program in EE history are given. Research methods, needs and opportunities relating to electrical history are discussed.
