Abstract :
Although the impedance characteristics of capacitors have been well known for years, it appears that the dissipation factor (DF) and Q have not been directly related to the capacitor model. This can be easily done and provides new insight into capacitor characteristics. Impedance paper can be used so that the impedance, dissipation factor, and Q can be drawn by inspection.
