Abstract :
An approximate approach for calculating the inductance coefficients of an electric circuit containing a number of branches is derived from the definition of an inductance coefficient of a single loop. An equivalent circuit is then developed to calculate the current distribution when lightning strikes a launch tower system. A numerical example is given. The computed results are consistent with the results of test measurements
