Abstract :
Halocarbon fluids (FXCCF2)n, where X = Cl or Br have been used to index-match silica in the 800¿2000 nm region. These fluids, unlike silicones or hydrocarbon fluids, are free of CH and OH absorption, and are resistant to hydrolysis and moisture absorption.
