Abstract
The authors describe a high-output spiral coil suitable for transferring up to 80 W of electrical power over a gap of 5 mm. By using cloth woven of amorphous magnetic fiber, the electrical power transmission was improved. The amorphous fiber acts not only as a flux concentrator but also as a shielding material. The equivalent circuit analysis carried out to improve the transmission characteristics of the coil is presented
